Children�s Classes

Bah�� writings emphasise that education must be spiritual as
well as material. Spiritual education embodies those virtues or
attributes which, when kindled in the hearts and minds of
children, not only guide their morals, but also enhance their
material education.

Providing spiritual education of children has long been an element of the culture of the Baha�i community. We hold regular children's classes that are open to all children, subject to parental approval, in neighbourhoods across Australia. Baha�i children�s classes aim to nurture the hearts and minds of children. The emphasis is on helping children learn to reflect on and apply spiritual principles, such as love, unity and justice, to their own lives and to the lives of those around them. Based on the teachings of Baha�u�llah, the Founder of the Baha�i Faith, the classes seek to inspire in children a love of God and His Messengers, and of humanity in all its diversity. The classes include short lessons, activities to build friendship, games, stories, art and music. |
